Theron "Boe" Gerald Almand

MOULTRIE, GA – Theron Gerald “Boe” Almand, 93, of Moultrie, passed away Monday, May 8, 2023, at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 13, 2023, at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Reverend Scott Toon officiating, assisted by Curtis Allegood.  Interment will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery. 

The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:00 PM Saturday at Oak Grove Baptist Church.

Casketbearers will be Chris Zeigler, Dylan Zeigler, Kyle Zeigler, Justyn Keller, Richard Rountree, and Marc Rountree. 

Born April 14, 1930, in Eastman, Georgia, he was the son of the late Ruben Walter Almand and Trudy Jane Singley Almand.  Mr. Boe was the owner-operator of Almand’s Grocery and Storage.   He enjoyed gardening, fishing and being outdoors.  Mr. Boe was a Gideon and a member/deacon at Oak Grove Baptist Church.   He was a God-fearing man who loved the Lord and his family dearly.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Kimberly Nunez, and his siblings, Annie Wree Thompson, Ruby Douglas, Larue Wells, Ardell Council, Owens Almand, Jewell Bishop, Vera Johnson, Opie Brown, Bill Almand, Carroll Almand, Beatrice Miller and Elton Almand. 

Survivors include his wife, Donnice Langley Almand of Moultrie; children, David G. Almand of Moultrie, Kathy Almand of St. Augustine, FL, Bill Zeigler of Moultrie; grandchildren, Melissa Rountree and husband Richard, Michael Keller, Justyn Keller and wife Jennifer, Chris Zeigler and wife Monica, Shannon Nunez, Dylan Zeigler and wife Lalah, Kyle Zeigler and wife Lacey, Mandy Zeigler, Amy Johnson and husband A.J., Lily Lawhorne and husband Micah, Joshua Zeigler, Bobbie Miller; great-grandchildren, Oakley Keller, Janna Keller, Jordyn Keller, Richard Rountree, Marc Rountree, Jaidyn Zeigler, Emmy Lou Zeigler, Evan Zeigler, Chloe Zeigler, Trudie Johnson, Justice Zeigler, Finnley Zeigler, Emily Zeigler; numerous other extended family members and friends.
