Woodrow Wilson Boyd

April 13, 1924 — January 23, 2020

Woodrow Wilson Boyd, 95, of Moultrie, died Thursday, January 23, 2020 at Cobblestone Health and Rehabilitation.

          Graveside rites will be 2:00PM Saturday, January 25, 2020 at Schley Cemetery with Mr. David Boyd officiating.  

          Born April 13, 1924 in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Charlie Remer Boyd and Nancy Johnson Boyd.  Mr. Boyd was a World War II Army Veteran in the 42nd Rainbow Division.   He retired from Anderson Roofing as a tin smith and was of the Baptist faith.   His family remembers how he loved building bird feeders and loved birds. 

          In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Agnes Giddens Boyd; brothers, Chester Boyd and C. R. Boyd, Jr.; sisters, Martha Jane Shelly and Odessa Hiers.

          Survivors include his children, Ronald Boyd and wife Judy, Ann Hamilton and husband Junior all of Moultrie, Janice Clayton and husband Lynwood of Mocksville NC, David Boyd and wife Lorena, Steve Boyd and wife Patricia all of Moultrie; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; sisters, Doretha Langston, Louise Tucker all of Moultrie, Novella Powell of Florida.
