William "Bill" Beryl Moody, Sr.

MOULTRIE, GA – William Beryl “Bill” Moody, Sr. 92, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.  

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, March 17, 2024, at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with his grandson, Pastor Matthew Moody officiating.   The family will greet friends after the service.

Born April 15, 1931, in London, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Jewell Freeman and stepfather Erin Freeman.   Mr. Bill was a United States Air Force Veteran and retired as a truck driver from Cynamid Corporation.  He loved his family “especially his girls”.   Mr. Bill was a fantastic truck driver, with an impeccable record, 50 years of service and never had an accident.  He enjoyed watching westerns on tv, and spending time with his dog, who he held dearly in his heart. 

In addition to his mother and stepfather, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nadine Moody; son, William “Bill” Moody, Jr., great-granddaughter, Sydney Grace Morgan; nephew, Alan Wolf. 

Survivors include his daughter, Alicia Horkan and husband George; son, James Moody and wife Kathy; sister, Karen Wolf and husband Harry; daughter-in-law, Belinda Moody; grandchildren, Amy Morgan and husband Chris, Lisa Warren, Keith Moody and wife Carrie, Matthew Moody, Aleia Daniel, Ian Daniel; great-grandchildren, Daren Kent and wife Ashlin, Gage Kent, Savannah Gerald and husband Matt; great-great-grandchildren, Lilly Kent, Addie Kent, Carolina Gerald; best friend and furry companion, Bull; several other extended family members and friends.
