Wayne Richter

Theron Wayne Richter, 76, of Moultrie, passed away on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, October 25, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Rose Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.  The service will be officiated by Dr. Robert McCoy.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. 

Born October 25, 1945, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Arthur Cary Richter and the late Kathleen Kelley Richter.  He was a retired United States Air Force veteran, having proudly served for twenty years.  His tours of duty included Korea and Germany.  After retiring from the Air Force, he worked for fifteen years in the sporting goods department at Walmart.  In addition, he was a substitute teacher at Colquitt County High School and enjoyed working with students having special needs.  He loved the outdoors, especially looking for arrowheads and fishing. 

Survivors include his loving wife, Ruth Poole Mainor Richter; sons, Mike Mainor and wife Sherri, Derrick Mainor and wife Kim, all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Will Mainor, Jaycee Mainor, Raley Mainor; sister, Gail Croft and husband Ricky of Valdosta; nephews, Shannon Croft and Kenny Croft.
