Wayne R. Baker, 71, of Doerun, died Friday, May 8, 2020 at Shand Hospital in Gainesville, FL.
Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a graveside service will be held Thursday, May 14, 2020 at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Julian Griner officiating.
Born July 26, 1948 in New York, he was the son of the late John Henry Baker and Flora Jane Waite Baker. Mr. Baker retired from the mobile home industry as a self-employed fire sprinkler protection installer.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Glenn Baker and Dale Baker.
Survivors include his wife, Cindy Miller Baker of Doerun; daughter, Victoria Jean Pope and husband David of Lawton, OK; grandchildren, Katelyn Pope and Joshua Pope; sister, Cheryl Chesher of Summerville, S.C.; mother-in-law, Dot Miller of Chiefland, FL; sisters-in-law, Debra Cobb of Moultrie, Linda Shaw and Harry of Chiefland, FL; and numerous other family members.
