Vivion Smith Griner of Moultrie, died Tuesday, January 12, 2021, at her residence. A private graveside service will be held January 26, 2021, at Murphy Cemetery with Reverend Shane Smith officiating. Due to safety precautions surrounding COVID-19, the family welcomes your thoughts and prayers in lieu of personal visits at this time. Born February 8, 1928, in Winter Haven, Florida, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Minor Smith and Mary Powell Smith. She was an active member at Temple Baptist Church. Having retired as a school secretary at Moultrie Jr. High School, Mrs. Griner enjoyed gardening and spending time outside, decorating her house, and spending time with her precious family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Everett Vernon Griner and brother, Leslie M. Smith and sister-in-law Dorothy Wood Smith. Survivors include her son, Billy E. Griner and wife Kimberly of Woodbine, GA; grandchildren, Brittany Griner Burns and husband Jason, Zachary S. Griner and wife Courtney all of St. Marys, GA; great-grandchildren, Asher Burns, Atlas Burns, Elijah Griner, and Eliana Griner; sister-in-law Delores Griner of Moultrie, GA.
