Viriginia Branch Dekle

Virginia Branch Dekle, 97, of Snellville, GA, passed away Sunday, January 10, 2021 at Seasons Hospice in Cumming, GA.

          A graveside service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Sale City Cemetery.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are requested by the family.

          Born June 24, 1923 in Mitchell County GA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph R. Branch and Addie Dewitt Branch.  Mrs. Dekle was a homemaker and was of the Methodist faith.   She was a 1940 graduate of Sale City High School and attended Georgia State College for Women.   Mrs. Dekle loved her family, enjoyed sewing, traveling and had a green thumb in gardening.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, William Ashley Dekle, Jr.; sister, Josephine Branch Bacon; brothers, Asa Dewitt Branch, Joseph Robert “Bobby” Branch.

          Survivors include her husband, William Ashley Dekle of Snellville, GA; children, Claire Dekle of Alexandria, VA, J. Bruce Dekle of Marietta, GA; grandchildren, William Ashley Dekle III, James Ashley Dekle, Allison Marie Dekle; great-grandchildren, William Dekle, Katie Dekle, Jackson Dekle; two great-great-grandchildren.
