Virginia E. Bivins Peacock, 81, of Moultrie, died Monday, December 28, 2020 at Archbold Medical Center.
The family will have a private funeral service.
Born May 6, 1939 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late M. B. Bivins and Era Castleberry Bivins. Mrs. Peacock was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She loved her family and enjoyed working with her husband in the family business for years.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Billy Bivins, Jack Bivins and Allen Bivins.
Survivors include her husband of 65 years, James A. Peacock of Moultrie; children, Susan Gibbs and husband Tommy, Carol Bannister and husband Chuck, Buddy Peacock and wife Brenda all of Moultrie; sisters, Patricia Gardner and husband Fred of Whiting N.J., Gloria Jean Hamilton and husband Frankie, Joyce Thomas of Moultrie; brother, Donald Bivins of Moultrie; grandchildren, Josh Gibbs and wife Crystal, Will Bannister, Laura Hill Bannister; great-grandchild, Elijah Gibbs; sisters in law, Glenda Bivins and LaDonna Bivins of Moultrie.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Colquitt County Food Bank, 309 3rd St SE, Moultrie, GA 31768.
