Carole Saunders LaPorte

Verena Carole Saunders LaPorte, 68, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A private graveside service will be held in Funston Cemetery with the Reverend Ron Shiver officiating. 

Born July 9, 1953, in Colquitt County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Noel J. Saunders and Mildred Perry Saunders.  Ms. LaPorte retired from Holiday Inn as an accountant and was of the Baptist faith.  She loved her family, enjoyed reading and was a gifted musician. 

Survivors include her brother, Glenn Saunders and wife Judy of Alcoa, TN; nieces, Bethany and Rob Taylor of Americus, Melodie and Chris Hardwick of Louisville, TN; nephew, Jamie and Melonie Saunders of Doerun; great-nieces, Miley Saunders, Maddie Saunders, Sadie Hardwick, Hazel Taylor; great-nephew, Henry Taylor.
