Travis Michael Payne

Travis Michael Payne, of Pavo, passed away Thursday, November 30, 2023 at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at 2:00 P.M. at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Reverend Julian Griner officiating.

Visitation will be from 1:00 – 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 5, 2023 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Mr. Payne was born January 14, 1955 in Tifton, GA the son of the late Betty Ruth Dean and Bennett Payne.  He was a cowboy who thoroughly enjoyed working his horses, fishing and hunting.  He loved his family especially his grandchildren and was better know as Poppa.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Cleveland Payne.

Survivors include his wife Kathy Dean Payne of Pavo; sons Josh Payne and wife Jeanna of Pavo and Levon Payne and wife Amanda of Pavo; grandchildren Lesleigh Payne, Ethan Payne, Taylor Payne, Scarlett Payne and Barrett Payne; brother Glen Payne and wife Carol of Macon, GA; his pet Jack Russell Shorty.
