Norman Park, Georgia – Tommy Lee Rabon, 84, of Norman Park Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Willson Hospice House in Albany, Georgia, surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, February 7, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Julian Griner officiating. Interment will be at Leesburg City Cemetery, Leesburg, Georgia.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 PM, Saturday, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Casketbearers will be Matthew Fender, Justin Fender, Justin Powell, Ricky Fender, Bo Rollins and James Ellis.
Born May 5, 1941, Sumter County, Georgia, he was a son of the late Carlton Edward Rabon, Sr. and the late Annie Ruth Holley Rabon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce Steinbacher Rabon; grandson, Austin Fender; sisters, Alice Rabon Harrell and Louise Rabon Clark; and a brother, Carlton Edward Rabon, Jr.
Survivors include his daughters, Susan Carol Rabon Myers and husband, Dean, Debra Ann Rabon Powell; stepsons, Mark Alan Horsley, Michael Tod Horsley Davis and husband, David, John Howard Horsley and wife, Lisa; stepdaughter, Jamie Horsley Fender; ten grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, Samuel J. Clark; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.
A veteran of the United States Army, he began his over forty-year career in law enforcement in Dougherty County. Later he worked for the City of Moultrie Police Department, where he was a Certified Police Trainer, Firearms Instructor, Certified Crime Scene Technician. He was a graduate of the FBI National Academy, and held Advanced and Managerial Certifications.
He was a member of the Shriners International Club and worked with Security at the Sunbelt Ag Expo.
