Moultrie, Georgia – Tommy Lamar Cobb, 78, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025, at his residence surrounded by his family.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM, Monday, August 25, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born February 20, 1947, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was a son of the late William Jacob “WJ” Cobb and the late Ethel Elaine Taylor Cobb.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Lindsay Marie Cobb; sisters, Elizabeth Lollar and Sandra Ellis; brothers, Frankie Cobb, Randall Cobb and Danny Cobb.

He honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and was a talented automotive mechanic and tire technician. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting deer and rattlesnakes. His family describes him as being legendary, raising his family with strong morals and values and never meeting a stranger. He truly was the rock of his family.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Joyce Roberts Cobb; sons, Tracy Cobb and Terry Cobb; grandchildren, Trevor Cobb, Gracie Hogan and husband, Kane, Hunter Cobb and wife, Kyla, and Nicholas Cobb; great-grandchildren, Finnley Tucker, Maizey Hogan and Kinsley Hogan; brother, Bo Holton; numerous nieces, nephews, other extended family and many special friends.

Memorial contributions in Mr. Cobb’s memory can be made to the John Benning Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
