Terry Cooper

Lonnie Terry Cooper, 67, of Moultrie, passed away on July 21, 2021, at his residence.

Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 PM on Tuesday, July 27, 2021, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Reverend Johnny Cooper officiating.                                            

Born on June 15, 1954, in Pavo, GA, he was the son of the late Lonnie Ernest Cooper and Betty Phillips Smith.  Mr. Cooper was an accomplished millwright and talented craftsman.  He loved to hunt, fish, and keep abreast of the world news.  He was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Herring Cooper.

Survivors include his children, Cindy Cooper and special friend Andy Valencia, Gene Cooper and wife Judy; grandchildren, Evan Hurley and wife Audrey, Madison Merritt, Jessica Jackson; great-grandchildren, Alana, Beau, Ariana; sisters, Judy Bales, Pat Gay and husband Frankie, all of Moultrie, Betty Jo Puckett, of Nashville, GA; brothers, Steve Cooper, Rusty Cooper and wife Wanda, all of Moultrie. 

Memorial contributions may be made to the Colquitt County Humane Society or the charity of choice.
