Shirley Faye Lairsey Davis

DOERUN, GA - Shirley Faye Lairsey Davis, 87, of Doerun, died Tuesday, November 5, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. David Williams officiating. Interment will follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 2:00-2:45 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Paul Davis, Kevin Shackleford, Trae Balzano, Jerod Williamson, Darrell Williamson, and Austin Williamson. 

Born June 22, 1937, in Tifton, she was the daughter of the late Charles Wesley Lairsey and Myrtle Owens Lairsey. Mrs. Shirley graduated from Moultrie High School before becoming an Accountant. She worked for several other CPA firms before opening her own business preparing tax returns and accountant services for others. Mrs. Shirley loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren. She was a faithful servant to her Lord Jesus Christ and attended Liberty Hill Baptist Church. Mrs. Shirley’s memory will be treasured by those who knew and loved her.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 60 years, Quinton Elijah Davis; sisters, Betty Plymel and husband Bobby and Verdie Daniels and husband Ted.

Survivors include her sons, Quinton Davis and wife Virginia, Michael Davis and wife Cherry; her daughter, Judi Davis; grandchildren, Danielle Watson and husband Kery, Dana Davis, David Davis and wife Rose, Paul Davis and wife Kayla, Shannon Shackleford and husband Kevin, Trae Balzano and wife Kara, Elaina Balzano and husband Zachary Addison, Gerry Davis and Tracey Sain; 14 great children; 4 great-great grandchildren; sister, Helon Suggs and husband Allen; along with many extended family members and friends.
