Sandra Ann Smith Hutchinson

MOULTRIE, GA – Sandra Ann Smith Hutchinson,73, of Moultrie, passed away on July 19, 2021, at her residence. 

Memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Monday, July 26, 2021, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ron Shiver officiating.  The family will receive friends following the service.

Born January 22, 1948, in Augusta, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late W. H. Smith, Sr. and Rosalie Shealy Smith.  Mrs. Hutchinson was a beautician, owning a beauty shop for years.  She found great joy in fellowshipping and serving her clients.  She never met a stranger and always brought a smile to the faces of others.  She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse “Buster” Hutchinson; grandson, Alex Murphy; brother, Dr. Wiley H. Smith, Jr; and Dyann’s father, William E. Meredith.

Survivors include her daughter, Dyann Carter and husband Chris of Moultrie; stepdaughters, Melissa Carnes and husband Tony of Hartsfield, Mary Beth Hutchinson of Moultrie; grandchildren, Lauren Carter and fiance’ Levi Rickman of Moultrie, Justin Thaxton of Pennsylvania, Heather Strasser and husband Daniel of Hartsfield; sister-in-law, Lynda Smith Tapp of Tallahassee.
