Sandra June Godwin DeMott

HARTSFIELD, GA – Sandra June Godwin DeMott, 80, of Hartsfield, passed away Friday, July 5, 2024, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, July 8, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Corey Shiver officiating. Interment will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. 

The family will greet friends after the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel. 

Born June 20, 1944, in Pelham, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Johnie Godwin and Polly Willis Godwin. Mrs. Sandra was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them. Mrs. Sandra was a humble, kind-hearted, compassionate lady who always had a smile on her face. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Leon Donald Godwin.

Survivors include her husband, Walter “Wayne” DeMott; children, Tim Carroll and Sarah, Michele Carroll and Denise, Michele Hicks, Roseann Kugler and Kenny; several grandchildren; siblings Tony Godwin and wife Linda, Penny Rice and husband Gary; numerous extended family members and friends.
