Roy Harold Tillery

MOUTRIE, GA – Roy Harold Tillery, 74, of Moultrie died Friday, July 17, 2020 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

The funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM, Monday, July 20, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.  Rev. Rodney Nix and Rev. Brandon Jordan will be officiating.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service with guidelines of social distancing being followed. 

Casket bearers will be John Gray, Blake Tillery, Cody Hancock, Shannon Nix, Steven Nix and Eric Nix.

Born October 12, 1945, in Moultrie, Georgia he was the son of the late Dessie Elizabeth Hall Tillery and Hugh Robert Jackson Tillery.  Mr. Tillery was the Owner and Operator of Tillery Septic Tank Service and was of the Apostolic Faith.  He served in the United States Army in Vietnam.

Survivors include his wife of fifty-four years, Marilyn Snipes Tillery of Moultrie, Georgia; daughter Sonja Tillery King and husband Mark; son Joey Tillery and wife Kelly of Moultrie, Georgia; grandchildren Jenna King, Baylee King, John Gray, Blake Tillery and Anna Grace Tillery; great grandchild Noah Gray; sisters Carolyn Hegwood and husband Franklin of Tennessee and Maurice Nix and husband Rodney of Moultrie, Georgia; mother-in-law Nellie Snipes of Moultrie, Georgia.

Memorials can be made to the Veteran’s Bus, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriner’s, or a charity of choice.
