Ronald Lester Beasley

Ronald Lester Beasley, 82, of Moultrie, passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Senior Care and Rehabilitation Center in Moultrie, GA. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 8, 2023, at Moultrie First Church of the Nazarene with Reverends James Pendel, Crystal Riner, and Robert Bennett officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Friday, April 7, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel. Casketbearers will include Kendall Sloan, Jimmy Sloan Jr., Steve Beasley, Charles Wagner, Bryce Cosby, and Garrett Benney. Robert Mudge will serve as honorary casketbearer. Born November 19, 1940, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late George William Beasley and Daisy Pearl Barnwell Beasley. Mr. Beasley was a United States Navy Veteran who proudly served for twenty years as a Chief Warrant Officer. He was also the Vice President of the Florida Book Depository. Mr. Beasley was a faithful member of Moultrie First Church of the Nazarene and was well known as a joyful gentleman with a great sense of humor. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Ann Brownlee Beasley; daughter, Gena Beasley Wagner; brothers, George W. Beasley, Jr., and Robert Rhodes. Survivors include son Gregory D. Beasley of Raleigh, NC; daughter, Mary Beasley Cosby of Orange Park, FL; bonus son, Charles Wagner and wife Laurie of Baltimore, MD; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Nell Cooper of Patterson, GA; several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
