Rodney David Barfield

Rodney David Barfield, 69, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021, at his home.

A memorial service will be held 4:00 PM Saturday, November 20, 2021, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Samantha Barfield Bell officiating. 

Born December 7, 1951, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Ollie Keith Barfield and Nettie Lucile Mixon Barfield.  Mr. Barfield retired from Willow Pond Plantation and was a member of Schley Baptist Church.   He was a loving husband who cherished his family and had a special bond with his grandchildren.  He enjoyed being outdoors.   Mr. Barfield relaxed by watching movies, grilling out and listening to gospel music.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Olin Barfield, Paul Barfield, and Murray Barfield.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Alice Keith Barfield of Moultrie; children, Rodney David Barfield, Jr., Cassidy Fowler and husband Joey all of Moultrie; grandchildren, Eden Barfield, Makenzie Peacock, and Jax Fowler; brothers and sisters, Nan Briley, Ronnie Barfield, Laverne Sealy, Riley Barfield, Phyllis Painter, Carol Jackson, and Melanie Dorsch.
