Robert Sidney Ferguson

Robert Sidney Ferguson, 75, of Moultrie, passed away Friday July 1, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Sunday, July 24, 2022, at Reed Brigham State Park, Group Shelter 3. (Cook County Side)  

Born March 21, 1947, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Rufus Lamar Ferguson and Mildred Lou Jackson Ferguson Kennedy Norman.  Mr. Ferguson was a salesman for The Colquitt Shopper and was of the Baptist faith.  He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, riding motorcycles and horses.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Willis Carmen “Buster” Ferguson.

Survivors include his children, Christopher Lamar Ferguson, Delisa Michelle Measamer, Tammy Latrell Cash, David Garrett Cash, and Robert Forrest Ferguson; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; siblings, Gerald Ray Ferguson, Jerry Lamar Ferguson, Bobby Lee Ferguson; soul friend, Rebecca Lynn Carter and her daughter that was raised by Mr. Ferguson, Hope Marie Carter; special children, Catherine Lorraine Arrington, Eric Scott Folsom. Many lifelong friends, Ray Pierce, Alton Parrish, Michelle Gay, Keith Murphy, and Freddy Ponder.
