Regina Diane Weathers-McEckron, age 54, won the earthly battle with cancer on Saturday, July 19, 2020, at her home in Tallahasseee, Fla.
A graveside service will be held at Hopewell Cemetery at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 23, 2020, with Reverend Austin Glass officiating. Social distancing guidelines will be required, and masks are recommended.
Born December 16, 1965, Mrs. Weathers-McEckron was the daughter of Grace McCall Hortman of Moultrie and the late Ennis Weathers. Regina was a Christian, and each day she was very thankful that God gave her “one more day”. She was a Public Service Advisor at Dale Earnhart, Jr. Chevrolet in Tallahassee. Regina dearly loved her family and was an avid seamstress and crafter.
Survivors include her husband, Brian Scott McEckron of Tallahassee; children, Jennifer Howell and husband Tony of Moultrie, Joshua Stephens of Moultrie, and Lorianna Weathers of Brattleboro, VT; stepson Chasen Powell and partner Jon of Tallahassee. Grandchildren include Seth Stephens and Alyssa Howell. Mrs. Weathers-McEckron’s brother James Weathers and his wife Kay reside in Moultrie.
In addition to her father, Mrs. Weathers-McEckron was pre-deceased by her brother Mike Weathers.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Colquitt County Humane Society or Colquitt County Food Bank.
