Rebecca McPherson Hart

Rebecca Ann McPherson Hart, 62, of Moultrie, passed away on Friday, March 31, 2023, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center in Moultrie, Georgia.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 5, 2023, in Pinecrest Memory Gardens of Moultrie, Georgia. Reverend Dr. Robert McCoy will officiate the service. The family will greet friends from 6:00-8:00 PM on Tuesday, April 4, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.       

Born October 7, 1960, in Elgin, Illinois, she was the daughter of the late Huey Lee McPherson, Sr. and Jean Richmond McPherson.  Family was very important to Mrs. Hart, as she adored her husband and was known by her children as the greatest mom in the world.  Cooking for those she loved brought her great joy. She was a faithful member of Autreyville Baptist Church.  Those who knew and loved Mrs. Hart will certainly miss her in the days ahead. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Brenda McPherson Barnes. 

Survivors include her loving husband, Harry B. Hart; children, Amanda Hurst and husband James, Melanie Smith and husband Derrell, Melissa Smith and husband Greg; grandchildren Trinity Hurst, Dallas Hurst, Cole Phillips and wife Jennifer, Cody Smith and wife Mallorie, Tanner Smith, Clint Smith and wife Brittney; great-grandchild, Sawyer Rae Phillips; siblings, Cathy McPherson Beasley and husband Blake, Huey L. McPherson, Jr. and wife Maria.
