Reba McCrary Brooks

Moultrie, GA – Reba McCrary Brooks, 88, of Moultrie, passed away on Sunday, May 25, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Liberty Hill Baptist Church with the Reverend Ron Shiver officiating. Private family interment will be at Liberty Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and family from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m., Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at the church.

Casketbearers will be Donald Brooks, Mason Coe, Brian Posey, Brent Posey, Liam Posey and Jack Swofford.

Born September 24, 1936, in Tift County, Georgia, she was a daughter of the late Gilbert Jackson McCrary and Maggie Dupree McCrary.

She was a retired bookkeeper and was a member at Funston Baptist Church. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Claudine McCrary Howell; and a brother, James McCrary.

Survivors include her husband, Bobby L. Brooks; daughter, Linda Swofford and husband Jack; son, Donald Brooks; grandchildren, Brian Posey and Ashley, Brooke Coe and husband Ben, Brent Posey and wife Crystal; great-grandchildren, Alyssa Stilwell, Mason Coe, Mikayla Coe, Madeline Posey and Liam Posey; sister, Martha Barnard; brother, Ken McCrary and wife Jane; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Memorial contributions may be made to Funston Baptist Church.
