Sylvester, GA – Raul Camargo, Jr., 66, of Sylvester, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021, at his residence. 

Raul Camargo, Jr., 67, of Sylvester, passed away on Friday, June 18, 2021, at his residence. 

Funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church of Moultrie with Father Alfonso Gutierrez officiating.  Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.  Family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 22, 2021 from 6:00-7:30 PM at Cobb Funeral Chapel.  A rosary will be held from 7:30-8:00PM. 

Born October 1, 1954, in Levelland, TX, he was the son of Raul Camargo, Sr. of Gainesville, GA and the late Manuela Ybarra Camargo.  Mr. Camargo retired as a deputy sheriff from Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department in Palm Beach County, FL.  He was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. He loved his family, his wife of fifty years, and especially loved his grandchildren.  Serving his country as a loyal law enforcement officer was his passion.  He enjoyed collecting eagles.  Mr. Camargo was known as the life of the party, as he loved to joke and enjoy life.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by brother Juan Camargo. 

In addition to his father, survivors include his wife, Maria Del Rosario Mata Camargo;  children, Maria Christina Camargo Rodriguez and husband Robert of Royal Palm Beach, FL, Juan Raul Camargo of Florida, Erica Carmen Camargo of Moultrie; grandchildren, Naomi Rodriguez, Roberto Rodriguez, Jacob Rodriguez, Cassandra Rose Lopez, Abel Tito Lopez, Isabella Rose Lopez, Alexia Camargo, Juan Camargo, Jr.;  sisters, Irma C. Pisano and husband Julian of West Palm Beach, FL, Linda C. Rodriguez and husband Mario of Gainesville, GA.
