Opal Ellis Harrison

Sallie Opal Ellis Harrison, 95, of Moultrie, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2021, at Pruitt Health-Magnolia Manor.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 6, 2021, at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery with the Reverend Stanley Norman officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 1:30-2:00 PM Friday at Oak Grove Cemetery.

Born May 21, 1926, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Cicero Ellis and Amanda Ellis.  Mrs. Harrison retired from Riverside Manufacturing Company as a seamstress and was of the Baptist faith.   She loved her family, enjoyed sewing and working in the yard.  She will always be remembered as a jokester with a caring heart and someone who can make you smile.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Marvin Edward Harrison; brothers and sisters; Darlene Lewis, Love Dukes, Rita Curles, Sonny Ellis, Dean Douglas, Thelma Harvey and Lanaille Goings.

Survivors include her children, Kyle Harrison of Moultrie, Mark Harrison and wife Robin of Berlin; grandchildren, Catherine Arrington and husband Danny, Toni Roberts, Roman Harrison and LeAnn Smith; great-grandchildren, Zach Strickland, Kameron Cooper, Sam Cook, Trent Cook, Jasmine Cook, Celeste Arce and Caleb Harrison.
