"Missy" Mary Ellen Dykes

 Mary Ellen “Missy” Dykes, 57, of Albany, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2022, at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, March 5, 2022, at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Ron Shiver officiating.   The family will greet friends after the service at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

Born August 25, 1964, in Fort Monroe, VA, she was the daughter of the late Nollie “Sonny” Dykes and Mary “Pat” Thomason Dykes.   Missy loved her family, caregivers, and her group family.  She enjoyed babies, making crafts and was a member of Funston Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Greg Dykes.

Survivors include her sister, Valerie Bishop of Moultrie; brother, Vaughn Dykes and wife Heidi of Albuquerque, NM; six nieces and nephews; eighteen great-nieces and great-nephews; one great-great niece.
