Michael Roy Giles

Michael Roy Giles, 59, of Cordele, died Friday, September 16, 2022, at Willson Hospice House.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Donnie Duncan officiating.  Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. Monday, September 19, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Scott Carter, Jessie Beasley, Mark Kathrein, Lester Yoder, Rusty Giles, Kyle Giles, Craig Giles, and Jordan Tipton. Honorary casketbearers will be Chris Bates and Calie Tipton.

Born January 3, 1963, in Moultrie, he was the son of the late Roy Washington Giles and Mildred Bozeman Giles. Mr. Giles loved his family deeply and enjoyed having fun. He was an avid fisherman with a heart-of-gold and was always willing to help others.

Survivors include his wife, Lynne Bates Giles; children, Kaitlyn Giles Beasley and Jessie; brothers, Craig Giles and Glenda, Dan Giles and Sandy, Richard McMullen; beloved fur babies, Siri and Loki; grand fur baby, Sophie Maybelle; bonus family, Scott and Darlene Carter and Wendy Wing and Mark Kathrein.
