IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Michael David "Bigg Mike"
Curington
February 22, 1977 – January 20, 2026
Moultrie, Georgia - Michael “Bigg Mike” David Curington, age 48, was called home to be with the Lord on January 20, 2026, surrounded by his family.
There are numerous things that could be said about Mike, but if you asked him what he truly wanted to be remembered for, it would be that he loved Jesus. He lived his life with purpose, integrity, and devotion to God. His faith guided the way he loved his family and faced life’s challenges, and he always reminded his family and friends to remember Proverbs 3:5–6.
Mike was devoted to his wife, Kayla. He was her partner, protector, safe place, and greatest love; the short 16 years they had together were not nearly long enough. Their marriage was built on devotion, trust, and an unbreakable bond that will continue beyond this life.
The solid foundation they established grew with their daughters, Riley and Jada.
Mike loved his two girls, and they were his proudest accomplishments. Nothing was going to stop him—not even being sick—from walking his daughter Riley down the aisle earlier this month.
Mike will always live on through his girls, especially through his strong, unwavering love for Christ. This shines through Jada, with her natural ability to share her faith with others.
Mike is survived by his wife, Kayla; daughters Riley DeMott (Rayland) and Jada Curington; grandson Drake DeMott; his parents, Bill and Patti Curington; brother Chip (Allison) Curington; sister Bethany Curington; Uncle Jim (Linda) Curington; and Aunt Reba Mason. He will always be remembered by his nephews Wilson (Anna) Ulrich, Patten Curington, Mason Curington, Preston Sparks, and his niece, Saylor Brawdy, as Uncle Mike Mike.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Charles W. and Majorie Curington; Grover and Maxie Patten; Aunt Kaye Patten; and Uncle Mike Mason.
His “Bigg” personality will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
A celebration of life will be held at Heritage Church on Saturday, January 24, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
