Maudell Nancy Fisher Bass Williams

Maudell Nancy Fisher Bass Williams, 95, of Moultrie, passed away, Friday, January 8, 2021 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

          Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Edison Williams officiating.  Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.

          Casketbearers will be Curtis Rogers, Tina Cooley, Jerry Fisher, Wayne Cooley, Freddie Cooley and Michael Drake.  Honorary casketbearers will be Justin Law and Tommy Cooley.

          Born March 22, 1925 in Gainesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late James Charles Fisher and Vassie Lee Fisher.  Mrs. Williams was a homemaker and was of the Holiness faith.   She loved her family, her church family, gospel music and she was very family oriented.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Bira “Bo” Lee Bass, Jr., second husband, John Gaines Williams; daughter, Faye Carlton; brother, James Charles Fisher, Jr.; sisters, Maydell Adcock, Grace Wilson.

          Survivors include her son, Steven Ray Bass of Tifton; daughters, Diane McDaniel of Moultrie, Debbie Parker and husband Bobby of Douglas, Ruby Welch of Moultrie, Shelby Fitzgerald and husband Gator of Moultrie, Wanda Knight of Decatur, TN; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
