Mary Lou Edington Ryan, 90, of Sarasota, formerly from Moultrie, died Saturday, May 23, 2020 at her son’s home surrounded by family. Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a graveside service will be held 2:00PM Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with Deacon Brian Rollock officiating. Friends are welcome to attend but social distancing will be required. Born February 28, 1930 in Kansas City, MO, she was the daughter of the late Roland Edington and Mary Louise Hackerd Edington. Mrs. Ryan was a homemaker and a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She loved her family, camping, and butterflies. Mrs. Ryan was a former member of the Federated Garden Clubs of Georgia and was a GA State President and Flower Show Judge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, O.E. Ryan, Jr.; sister, Patricia A. Tapley; brother, Gordon Edington. Survivors include her children, Michael Elton Ryan, Sr. and Rhonda of Sarasota, FL, Patricia Ryan Gay and Randy of Moultrie, Kenneth R. “Ken” Ryan and Rhonda Jo of Moultrie, Margaret Ryan McGee and Col. (Ret) Donald Wayne, Jr. U.S. Air Force of Colorado Springs, CO; grandchildren, SFC Michael Elton Ryan, Jr. U.S. Army and Beth, Erin Ryan and Alex, Justin Ryan and Cambria, Patrick Randall Gay and Niki, Jessica Ryan Tyson and Jody, Candice Ryan Bass and Andrew, John Douglas Ryan, Megan Elizabeth McGee, Lucas Wayne McGee, William Ryan McGee; twelve great-grandchildren.
