Doerun, Georgia – Mary Donaldson Blair, 91, of Doerun, Georgia, passed away on Friday, September 25, 2026, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center, with her family at her side.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Monday, September 28, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel, with the Reverend Julian Griner and the Reverend Charles Lawson officiating. Interment will follow at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 10:45 AM, Monday, September 28, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Trev Simmons, Ken Tate, Randall McCoy, Will McCoy, Russ Hornsby and Todd Hornsby.

Born February 11, 1935, in the Beulah community of Opp, Alabama, she was a daughter of the late William Clayton Donaldson and the late Lola Mary Moody Donaldson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dewey Ray Blair; son, Mark Blair; sister-in-law, Jane Donaldson; and brother-in-law, Jim Daniel.

Survivors include her children, Mike Blair and wife, Kay and Melessia Blair Mitchell and husband, Steven; daughter-in-law, Alba Blair; grandchildren, David Blair, Sabrina Blair Houman and husband, Travis, Mark Jose Blair and wife, Michelle, Tamara Blair Schrable and husband, Beau, Dominique Germosen and husband, Ronnie, Marie Blair and fiancé, Mario Estrella, Mary Faith Mitchell and Andrew Mitchell; great-grandchildren, Mike Blair, Alyssa Blair, Brock Schrable Everly Rae Blair and Madison Alexandra Blair; brother, Bill Donaldson; sister, Shirley Daniel; as well as several nieces, nephews and other extended family members and friends, including special friends, Larry Hornsby, Kay Hornsby, Russ Hornsby and Todd Hornsby.

In addition to being a devoted homemaker, she was a talented seamstress who took great pride in her work. She was a member of both First Baptist Church of Doerun and Grace Baptist Church, where she willingly served in many roles throughout the years. Her Christian faith was an important part of her daily life. She faithfully read her Bible and spent time each day in devotion, drawing strength and comfort from God’s Word.

She found great joy in the simple blessings of life, especially reading, tending to her flowers, and spending precious time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. An avid reader throughout her life, she had a deep appreciation for books and was a devoted supporter of the Doerun Library.

Above all, she treasured her family. The time she shared with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren brought her tremendous happiness, and the love, faith, and values she demonstrated throughout her life will remain a lasting legacy for the generations she leaves behind.
