Mary Ann Castleberry Hancock

MOULTRIE, GA – Mary Ann Castleberry Hancock, 86, of Moultrie, passed away Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 Monday, October 3, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Ron Shiver officiating.  Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Ryan Sparkman, Jason Wilkes, Eddie Stephan, Ross Sparkman, Jake Wilkes, and Jonathan Castleberry.

Born November 7, 1935, in Moultrie, GA, she was the daughter of the late Elzie C. Castleberry and Rose Lee Tyson Castleberry.  Mrs. Hancock was a homemaker and a member of Norman Park United Methodist Church.  She was a loving, caring, talented women who will be missed by many.   The family wishes to thank Whitney, Maxine, Jessy and Jaimee from Colquitt Regional Hospice for all the kind, compassionate care they provided during this difficult time.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil George Hancock; brother, Jerry Castleberry; brother-in-law, Kelvin Spurlock; nephew, David Moody.

Survivors include her brother, Caroll Castleberry and wife Paula of Mayo, FL; sisters, Barbara Moody, Nell Castleberry both of Houston, TX, Debbie Freed of Albany, GA, Donna Spurlock of Funston, GA; nieces, Lisa Moody, Kelly Valadez, Keri Wilkes and husband Jason, Kaci Sparkman and husband Ryan, Kati Stephan, and husband Eddie; nephew, Jonathan Castleberry and wife Erin; several great-nieces and great-nephews and other extended family members.
