Martha Jane Plymel Lollar

Martha Jane Plymel Lollar, 69, of Doerun, passed away Monday, February 1, 2021 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Shannon Partain officiating.  Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.

          Casketbearers will be Donavon Ansley, Ryan Shank, Austin Gumm, Jared Singletary, Joe Vaughn, Jr. and Eric Morton.

          Born August 21, 1951 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Troy Massie Plymel and Thelma Alberta Bragg Plymel.  Mrs. Lollar was a 1969 graduate of Doerun High School and of the Baptist faith.  She retired from National Beef as a quality assurance specialist.   Mrs. Lollar loved her family, especially her grandchildren and her late husband James.   She enjoyed reading and watching western movies.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lollar; son, Christopher Lollar; brother, Marion Plymel; sister, Ruth Hawkins.

          Survivors include her children, Leslie Johnson and husband Shannon, Stephen Thornburg all of Doerun, Mary Vaughn and husband Joe of Moultrie, Vickie Fender and husband Ricky, David Lollar all of Ellenton, Glenda Kimbrall of Moultrie; twelve grandchildren, twenty great-grandchildren; brother, Lamar Plymel and wife Sharon of Moultrie; sisters, Betty Pate, Dorothy Faye Hobby all of Moultrie.
