Margaret Corbishley Fleury

MOULTRIE, GA – Margaret Corbishley Fleury, 82, of Moultrie, passed away Monday, March 25, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, April 5, 2024, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Reverend Dr. Richard Wright officiating.  The family will receive friends at a reception following the service.   

A private family interment will be held in Cadillac Memorial Gardens in Detroit, Michigan. 

Born May 27, 1941, in Detroit, Michigan, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Corbishley and Alice Cutty Corbishley.  Mrs. Fleury was a Registered Nurse who spent many years caring for others in the community as a Labor and Delivery Nurse at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.   She instilled a sense of discipline in her children to help them succeed in life, but she considered it her solemn duty to spoil her grandchildren whenever possible.  Mrs. Fleury was a talented seamstress and faithful servant to her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  She was a faithful member of First United Methodist Church Moultrie and spent her life spreading the Gospel through song in church choirs both here and in Detroit.  Mrs. Fleury was an avid GATORS fan and could often be seen wearing her Gators shirt while singing in the choir.   She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be deeply missed by her family and those who knew her.  

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Edmund Kruck.

Survivors include her children, Karen Newberry and husband Dan, Katie McDowell and husband Jason, Kenny Fleury and wife Margaret Amanda; grandchildren, Jamie Valentine and husband Jon, Jordan Newberry, Owen Taylor, Jenna McDowell, Steven Fleury, and Andrew Newberry; great-grandchildren, Elise Valentine and Camille Valentine; and special niece Jeanna Kennedy and her husband Bob. 

Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Colquitt Regional Medical Foundation, PO Box 40, Moultrie, GA 31776.
