Moultrie, Georgia – Marcus Lee DeLoache, 60, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Monday, August 2, 2026, at Archbold Memorial Hospital, in Thomasville, Georgia.

Graveside rites will be held at 11:00 AM, Thursday, August 6, 2026, at Poplar Arbor Cemetery, with the Reverend Keith Marchant officiating.

Born March 5, 1966, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was a son of the late James Lester DeLoache and Sharon Hutson DeLoache, who survives.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife, Terry Jane DeLoache; daughter, Loren Lee DeLoache (Jared Howard); grandchildren, Liam Hayes Howard and Delilah Jane Howard; brothers, James DeLoache (Chree) and Tim DeLoache; niece, Jade DeLoache; other extended family members and friends. He is also survived by his close friend and companion, Melissa Taylor; as well as his canine companions.

He was a devoted Christian who was raised in the Methodist church and remained grounded in the faith and values that shaped his life. A gifted carpenter, he possessed a remarkable talent for building and repairing nearly anything he set his mind to. His craftsmanship, attention to detail, and dependable nature earned the trust of many throughout the years, and countless families relied on him for their construction and carpentry needs.

When he wasn't working, he found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved fishing, cooking, and gathering family and friends around the grill. Blessed with a warm personality and an infectious sense of humor, he never met a stranger and always had a kind word to share. His generous heart was especially evident in the loving care he gave his mother, faithfully looking after her and her beloved pets whenever she traveled. His kindness, selflessness, and unwavering love for his family and friends will be remembered by all who were blessed to know him.

For his love of animals, especially canines, memorial contributions in his memory may be made to the Colquitt County Humane Society.
