Lucille Allen Sellers

MOULTRIE, GA – Lucille Allen Sellers, 86, of Moultrie, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, November 25, 2023, at Lakeside Assembly of God with the Reverend Steve Comer and the Reverend Paul Milligan officiating.  Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, November 24, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Jeff Summerlin, Ashley Summerlin, Matt Hamm, Caleb Norman, Hayden Hamm, Evan Hamm, Scout Summerlin and Joshua Thompson.

Born October 17, 1937, in Colquitt County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Willie J.D. Allen and Gussie Folsom Allen.  Mrs. Lucille retired from Riverside Manufacturing Company as a supervisor and was a member of Lakeside Assembly of God Church.  She was a wonderful, loving wife, mother and grandmother who cherished her family and church family.  Mrs. Lucille was a god-fearing woman who loved the Lord and was constantly praying for others and performing God’s work.  She touched many lives in her lifetime, and she will always be remembered for the compassion she showed towards all.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Charles “Buddy” Allen, Ann Thompson, Carolyn Harlow.

Survivors include her husband of almost 65 years, Jessie Eugene “Gene” Sellers; children, Debra Summerlin and husband Scott, Tammy Hale and husband Lamar, Joy Cooper and husband Scott, Tracy Norman and husband Lee; nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Terry Lee Allen and wife Dierdre; and numerous extended family members and friends.
