Moultrie, Georgia – Lucile Hart Lastinger, 88, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at her residence, while surrounded by her family.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 30, 2026, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Doctor Robert McCoy, Jr. officiating. Interment will be at New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 1:45 PM, Friday, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.
Honorary pallbearers will be caregivers, Annie Ludden, Aggie Sutton, Tequila Erving, Kaitlyn White, Tarsha Grant and Priscilla Williams.
Born April 11, 1937, in Thomas County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late Albert Hart and the late Lillian Griffin Hart McLeod.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Newell Dwight Lastinger; and brothers, Thomas Hart and Clifford Hart.
Survivors include her children, Yvonne Sparkman and husband, Ricky, Michael Lastinger, Melvin Lastinger and wife, Lynn, Reggie Lastinger and wife, Janet; grandchildren, Leanna Cullum and husband, Wes, Jill Clark, Lukas Lastinger and wife, Yula, Lyndsey Foster and husband, Andy, Allison Lastinger, Alexander Lastinger and Lucy Lastinger; great-grandchildren, Kale Cullum and Anna Kate Cullum; as well as several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Annie Ludden, Aggie Sutton, Tequila Erving, Kaitlyn White, Tarsha Grant and Priscilla Williams for their compassionate, loving and dedicated care to Mrs. Lucile during the last three years. Also, the family would like to acknowledge and thank Regency Southern Care Hospice, especially Sheana Hargraves and Keanna Reed, for all of their loving care and compassion.
She was a long-time member at Autreyville Baptist Church, retired from Riverside Manufacturing as a seamstress and enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling.
Memorial contributions in her memory may be made to Autreyville Baptist Church.
Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
