Loyce Sanders Jones

Loyce Sanders Jones, 91, of Moultrie, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 27, 2021, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Jackie Cabaniss officiating.  Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

Casketbearers will be Chance Pitts, Cole Pitts, Scotty Cooper, Brad Eunice, Gregg Hersey and Mark Wills.

Born June 5, 1930, in Moultrie, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late John Sanders and Gertrude Saturday Sanders.  Mrs. Jones was a homemaker and a member of Kingwood Baptist Church.  She loved her family and grandkids very much.   She always supported them and enjoyed being part of their lives.  Mrs. Jones enjoyed the outdoors and working with her flowers.  She was a kind woman that will be dearly missed by many.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Ray “Rocky” Jones, III.; sister, Evelyn Hardin; brothers-in-law, Tommie Hardin, C.P. Cooper, Junior Dowdy.          

Survivors include her husband, James Ray Jones, Jr. of Moultrie; daughter, Jennifer Kelly and husband Randy of Moultrie; grandchildren, Wendy Horne and husband Clint, April Powell; great-grandchildren, Hogan Horne, Lyla Horne, Ella Ray Powell; sisters, Sara Cooper, Johnette Dowdy, Linda Eunice and husband Bobby all of Moultrie.
