Lois Gooslin Allegood

Lois Gooslin Allegood, 74 of Doerun, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2022, at Pruitt Health in Moultrie. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, March30, 2022 in Doerun, Cemetery. Born September 28, 1947 in Princeton, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Delmon Gooslin and Juanita Summerlin Gooslin. Mrs. Allegood loved to crochet, read books, paint ceramics, and bake, as well as babysit her granddog Sophie. Mrs. Allegood also liked to celebrate Christmas and enjoyed cooking for Thanksgiving. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Jimbo Allegood; Sisters Barbara Alford and Mae Wright. Survivors include Husband of 56 years Freddy Allegood; son, Ricky Allegood and wife Kim of Doerun; daughter, Amy Griffin and husband Scott of Sale City; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Beasley and husband Jessie, Abby Allegood, Emily Allegood; brother, Paul Gooslin of Doerun; sister, Jean Jenkins of Doerun; and several nieces, nephews, and other family members.
