Linda Fay Touchton Pettyjohn

June 20, 1947 — February 3, 2021

Linda Fay Touchton Pettyjohn, 73, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

          Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, February 7, 2021 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Billy Wilkes officiating.  Interment will follow in Hopewell Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Cobb Funeral Chapel.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed, and masks are recommended.

          Casketbearers will be George “Bo” Parten, Scott Benton, Hunter Benton, Joshua Brumley, Tyler Boyd, Matthew Tillman and Gadston Moore.

          Born June 20, 1947 in Lenox, GA, she was the daughter of the late Leland Touchton and Dartha Tucker Touchton.   Mrs. Pettyjohn was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.  She loved her family, the Lord and enjoyed reading her bible.  Mrs. Pettyjohn was an avid Atlanta Braves fan and Oak Ridge Boys fan.  she enjoyed word search puzzles, looking things up on her phone and making sure her house was always clean and in order.   Her family and friends will always remember her as a kind and sweet lady.

          In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Jack Touchton, Russell Touchton and Steve Touchton; sister, Peggy Andrew.

          Survivors include her husband, Larry Pettyjohn of Moultrie; children, Tonia Brumley of Hartsfield, Angela O’Grady of Moultrie, Larry “Jamie” Pettyjohn II and wife Nancy of Hartsfield; stepdaughter, Michaela Robinson of Newport News, VA; grandchildren, Hunter Benton and wife Sheyenne, Joshua Brumley, Julie Pettyjohn, Emily Pettyjohn, Alisha O’Grady, Michael Byrd, Melody Robinson, Gary Heil, Dion Byrd and Jonathan Robinson; several great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other family members.

          The family may be contacted at the home of Larry Pettyjohn.
