Leroy Meredith

Leroy Meredith, 77, of McDonough, Georgia, passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023, at Sacred Journey Hospice.

Memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Stockbridge Community Church, 4401 Highway 155 North, Stockbridge, GA.

A graveside service, with military honors, will be held at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with Reverend Andy Cashwell officiating.  

Born in 1945, in Doerun, Georgia, he was the son of the late James Franklin Meredith and Anne Mae Self Meredith.  Mr. Leroy was a United States Army Veteran who served honorably during the Vietnam War where he received five service metals.  He retired from AT&T as a supervisor and installer.  Mr. Leroy enjoyed gardening, woodworking, and traveling. 

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Velma Gay, Florris Holder and William Meredith.

Survivors include wife, Nancy Burnham Meredith; children, Ann Rourk and husband Russell, James Meredith and wife Tonya, all of McDonough, GA; grandchildren, Lauren Rourk, Jacob Rourk, Joshua Rourk, Logan Meredith, and Ryland Meredith; sister, Evelyn Harrell.  Memorial contributions may be made to any veteran organization of choice.
