Leo James "Mickum" Blum

Leo James “Mickum” Blum, II, 49, of Baxley, passed away Thursday, August 19, 2021, at Appling Healthcare Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens in Moultrie, GA.

Born March 26, 1972, in Warner Robins, Georgia, he was the son of Angela Elaine Gore Blum of Sarasota, FL. and the late Leo James Blum.  Mickum was a Superintendent for SCI of Bartlett TN and an Aviation Mechanic.  He was of the Baptist faith.  He loved his family, friends, his dogs, had a wonderful personality and loved everyone he met.  Mickum was a talented musician and was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan.  In his spare time, he enjoyed flying his model airplanes.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Helen and James Gore; uncle, Mike McLeod.

In addition to his mother, survivors include his sisters, Lara Carter (Patrick) of Baxley, GA, Morgan Snyder (Matthew) of Sarasota, FL; his significant other, Mandy Wacker of Baxley, GA.; nephews, Zachary Carter, Luke Snyder; niece, Emily Carter; uncles, James Michael Gore (Deborah), Mal Gore (Kathi); aunts, Bennie Helen Spearman, Joy McLeod; several beloved cousins; many life-long friends, co-workers, and extended family.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Society for The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA) 424 E. 92nd St., New York, NY. 10128-6804.
