Lena Mae Ricks Pollock

MOULTRIE, GA – Lena Mae Ricks Pollock, 91, of Moultrie, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2023 at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

A graveside service will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, March 19, 2023 at Rose Hill Cemetery with the Reverend Scott Toon and the Reverend Hugh Ward officiating. 

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born November 28, 1931, in Mitchell County, Georgia, she was the daughter of the late James Brack Ricks and Mary Morey Ricks.   Mrs. Lena retired from Palmyra Hospital as a medical secretary and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.    She was a Godly woman, devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, who loved her family dearly.  Mrs. Lena liked to shop on tv, enjoyed buying for her grandchildren, going to the beach, and loved to cook.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lamar Pollock; son, Richard Glen “Ricky” Coleman; several siblings, Mrs. Lena was the last of her siblings to pass away.

Survivors include her sons, Robert A. “Bob” Coleman, Jr. and wife Sylvia, Ken W. Coleman and wife Debbie; grandchildren, Hannah William and husband William, McKenlee Coleman; step-grandchildren, Heather Leon, Heath Hutto; Jose A. Rivas, Elisa O. Rivas, Horacio Rivas, David A. Rivas, Mario L. Cavazos, Jr., Elena S. Castellano; six great-grandchildren; special friend, Debbie Hart; numerous extended family members and friends.
