Tallahassee, Florida – Larry J Williams, 72, of Tallahassee, Florida, formerly of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away on Friday, August 22, 2025.

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with his nephew, Jack Adams officiating.

The family will receive friends immediately following the memorial service.

Born May 23, 1953, in Doerun, Georgia, he was a son of the late Oscar Malcom Williams and the late Vergie Lee Smith Williams.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Oscar Ralph Williams and Elton Lamar Williams.

He was a talented carpenter, loved to sing and play guitar, enjoyed old fashioned model cars, traveling with family and was of the Baptist faith.

Survivors include his wife, Judy Thompson Williams; children, Jason Williams, Erin Williams Galea and husband, Stephen; stepdaughters, Carolyn Cloud, Kelly Recio and husband, Raul and Kimberly Miller; grandchildren, Violet Illian, Mallory Williams, Sam Galea, Ali Cloud Mazes and husband, Dom, Jade Cloud, Julius Krentz, Emma Recio and Julius Galea; great-grandson, Maverick Seagraves; sisters, Betty Ann Sandoval and Kay Ellen Kline and husband, Albert; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other extended family.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with arrangements.
