Larry Abercrombie

MOULTRIE, GA – Marvin Larry Abercrombie, 80, of Moultrie, passed away Thursday, November 24, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, December 3, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Reverend Robert McCoy officiating.   Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 10-10:45 AM Saturday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Craig Jordan, Kirk Murphy, Calvin Murphy, and Patrick Davis.

Born September 27, 1942, in Moultrie, Georgia, he was the son of the late Marvin Stephens Abercromie and Era Gregory Abercrombie.  Mr. Larry was a United States Army Veteran who was extremely dedicated to his country.  He retired from Proctor and Gamble as a line technician and was of the Baptist faith.  Mr. Larry loved his family dearly and was eagerly waiting for his granddaughter to graduate from UGA.  He was a huge Colquitt County Packer supporter, a Dawg Nation Fan and was a member of the “Hardee’s Breakfast Club”.   

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Tucker Abercrombie; sister, Amarylis Blender Abercrombie Jordan.

Survivors include his daughter, Susan Abercrombie-Davis and husband Brett of Suwanee; grandchild, Cathryn Davis; nephew, Craig Jordan and numerous extended family members and friends.
