Kirby Harnage, Sr.

October 9, 1935 — February 12, 2023

HARTFIELD, GA – W. Kirby Harnage, Sr. 87, of Hartsfield, passed away Sunday, February 12, 2023, at his home.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 18, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Brother Mark Jordon and Brother Ryan Ralston.  Interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens with Brother Mark Herrington.  

The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM Friday, February 17, 2023, at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Casketbearers will be Jason Morris, Steven Morris, Brad Harnage, Jared Morris, Allen Morris, Jonathon Morris, Blake Harnage, and Justin Morris.  Honorary casketbearers will be Brother Bobby Ruis and Brother Denvelle Hall.

Born October 9, 1935, in Tifton, Georgia, he was the son of the late Caulie Charlmas Harnage and Willie Johnson Harnage.  Mr. Kirby retired from Petrolane Gas as a service manager.  He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who was full of patience for others and was always happy to help everyone.  Mr. Kirby was a man who had many skills, was able to do any kind of work and succeed at everything.   He was a man who loved the Lord and was a member of Riverside Holiness Church.   

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Judy Ann Harnage Morris; brother, William Howard “W.H.” Harnage; sister, Voncile Peacock.

Survivors include his wife of almost 70 years with 3 years of dating, Ollie Elaine Griner Harnage of Hartsfield; children, Wallace Kirby “Kirk” Harnage, Jr. and Alacia Ann, Cynthia “Cindy” Sabelia Morris and Randy; son-in-law, James Warren Morris; grandchildren, Jason Morris and Nancy, Alicia Harnage, Steven Morris and Nita, Bradley Harnage, Jared Morris, Allen Morris, Jonathon Morris and Lana, Blake Harnage and Savannah, Justin Morris and Heather; twenty-four great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild, Kennedy Ann Tatum; brother, Merlin Pasco “Pat” Harnage; special cousin, Betty Smith; special friends, Katie Murphy and Tara Bozeman; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members and friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to Riverside Holiness Church.
