Kayla Cheree Edwards Samples, 35, of Douglas, formerly of Moultrie, passed away Monday, January 17, 2022, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, January 22, 2022, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Mr. Eddie Fizer officiating.  Interment will be in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens. 

The family will receive friends from 2-2:45 PM on Saturday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.

Born December 8, 1986, in Moultrie, she was the daughter of Tim Corkhill of Ft. Myers, FL and the late Georgia Ann Edwards.   Kayla was a former medical clerk at the Colquitt County Health Department and was of the Baptist faith.   She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with her son.  Kayla had a talent for baking, making crafts, painting and she also enjoyed being outdoors in her flower garden.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Nell and Frank Edwards; uncle, Tommy Edwards; aunt, Diane Sellers.

In addition to her father, survivors include her son, Tyson Samples of Moultrie; siblings, Melissa Edwards of Douglas, Brittany Edwards of Moultrie, Joshua Corkhill, Jacob Corkhill, Garrett Corkhill, Tara McCawley all of Alva, FL; stepmother, Debbie Corkhill of Ft Myers, FL; uncle Timmy Edwards; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many special friends.
