Katie Mae Kelley

Katie Mae Kelley, 72, of Moultrie passed away Friday, August 13, 2021, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral service will be held at 3:00 PM Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at Cobb Funeral Chapel with Rev. Brad Bowen officiating.  The family will receive friends following the funeral service.  A private interment will follow in Cobb-Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

Born November 17, 1948, in Mullens, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Wilma Crosby and Inez Tyler Crosby.  She was a retired seamstress with Doerun Sportswear.  She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, listening to music, and spending time with her family.  She was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde V. Kelley and several other family members.

Survivors include her daughter, Nora Cooley and Hoyt Elgin Purser, Jr.; grandchildren, Hoyt Nathaniel Purser, Hoyt Elgin Purser, III, Carolyn Katie Purser; sisters, Ann Willis and Jean Ricks of Moultrie; brother, Jacob Crosby and wife Deborah of Norman Park; special friend, Sabrina Herring of Moultrie.
