Kathy M. Herndon Goodno

April 28, 1955 — October 13, 2020

          Kathy M. Herndon Goodno, 65, of Hartsfield, died Tuesday, October 13, 2020 at her home.

          Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Cobb Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mitch Griffin officiating.  Interment will follow in Pinecrest Memory Gardens.

          Born April 28, 1955 in Moultrie, she was the daughter of the late Flavis Durrell Herndon and Lula Mae Greene Herndon.  She was a former waitress at the Barbeque Pit and was of the Baptist faith.  Her family remembers that she was a hard-working, but fun wife and mother, that adored her grandchildren.  She especially enjoyed the holidays.

          She was preceded in death by one son, Michael Dempsey Goodno and one brother, Steve Herndon.

          Survivors include her husband, John Dempsey Goodno; one son, John Wade Goodno and Christina Melton of Hartsfield; one brother, John Michael Herndon of Tallahassee; two grandchildren, Gabriel Ethan Goodno and Loomis Tyler Goodno; two sisters-in-law, Judy Herndon of Hartsfield and Kim Sellers of Norman Park; one brother-in-law, Richard Goodno of Moultrie; her father-in-law, Johnny Goodno of Coleman, Al.

          The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. Friday at Cobb Funeral Chapel.  Social distancing guidelines will be followed and masks are recommended.
