Moultrie, Georgia – Karen Lee Renkenberger, 76, of Moultrie, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.

Born August 19, 1948, in Clarksburg, West Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Robert Burger and Helen Abramowicz Burger.

Karen retired as an accounts manager with Independent Container Line and was known for her warm heart, quick wit, and deep devotion to her family. She had a lifelong passion for cooking and found great joy in preparing meals for family get-togethers. Sundays were often spent cheering on her beloved Washington Redskins, a tradition she held close for decades. Karen was her sons’ biggest fan, proudly attending their sporting events and celebrating their accomplishments with enthusiasm and love.

She was also a devoted animal lover, especially fond of her cats, and cherished her role as mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and most recently, great-grandmother.

Survivors include her sons, Gary Renkenberger and wife Phaedra, and Chris Renkenberger; grandchildren, Sydney Armstrong and husband Matthew, and Ryland Crisman; great-grandson, Nixon Armstrong; siblings, Robert Burger and wife Barbara, Kim Mazzilli and husband Joseph, Susan Burger, Bonnie Eubank and husband Randy, Terri Kinslow and husband Tim, Steven Burger; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

Cobb Funeral Chapel has been entrusted with the arrangements.
